Magic Level
Magic Level is an application that you can use on an accelerometer enabled Symbian phone such as the Nokia N95.
It's a bit of an experiment in developing on my N95. It has 3 different types of level tools available:
- Horizontal Level - You can use this by laying the phone flat, or on its side.
- Two Axis Level - Best if you lay the phone flat on the surface you're checking.
- Vertical Level - Check the levelness of a vertical surface.
In all three tools, the actual angle is displayed. You can press the center button (select) to hold the current reading.

NOTE: you will need to install PyS60 before this will work.

I have an N95 8Gb (N95-2)
I have an N95 8Gb (N95-2) with Python 1.4.4 for S60 3ed and the n95 acceletrometer plugin installed. When I try to start MagicLevel 1.0.0 the screen flashes for a moment and the app exits immediately.

Magic Level don't let you choose the destination (internal memory or external card). It always uses the internal. So you have to install Python in the internal memory too!

Hi Guys, same pb here, I have installed PythonForS60_1_4_4_3rdEd.sis and PythonScriptShell_1_4_4_3rdEd.SIS but when I launch your application screen flickers for a sec and nothing else !?

Works on N95 8GB. Intalled Python 1.4.4.3 and scriptshell, installed the application and it works fine. I also like the imitation of a classic leveler in the About section of application.

To install all software not just Symbian applications with verified digital signatures go to Settings -> Applications -> App.manager -> Software installation and select "All".

Hey You know what will take your magic to the next level?
1. being able to calibrate the accelerometer (nokmote and others already implement it) (my accelerometer its about 4° (14%) tilt.)
2. Display the inclination in percentage also, like (inclinometer for n95).
Maybe one of the first soft Ive downloaded and with these mods a indispensable one. (because if it isnt calibrated its useless).
